Important Covid-19 Client Updates from ImmigrationSG LLP

Dear Valued Clients,

I trust you are safe and well. The Covid-19 pandemic is upon us and as almost all industries are already feeling its impact on their businesses, I am sure many of you seek answers pertaining your upcoming submissions in these challenging times.

Your application is important to us and we have been keeping ourselves busy and updated on the recent governments’ stances on progressive measures to be taken. We have also sought out advisory from various of our ministry counterparts and would like to assure our clients on the following pertinent points during the initial implementation of stricter measures between 7 April 2020 and 4 May 2020, and now with a further extension to 1 June 2020.

Impact on Singapore PR and Citizenship Applications

The ministries will still be processing Singapore PR and Citizenship applications as per usual. There will be no major policy impact and annual quotas will be maintained for 2020/2021.

Continued Support from Immigration@SG LLP between 7 April 2020 and 1 June 2020

We will continue to support all clients from home. This includes addressing all queries, preparation of documents and seeing applications through to submission, without compromising on the quality of work.

  1. Communications with Documents Specialists and Consultants will be via email, phone or video call, where appropriate and convenient. This includes the facilitation of your documents handover process.
  2. Uploading and Transference of Documents can still be done via the Documents Management System (DMS), and emails.
  3. All translation and notarisation work will be temporarily unavailable. As most services will shutdown from 7 April 2020, our vendors will not be able to notarise/authenticate the translations during this period.
  4. Clients are strongly encouraged to proceed with their original planned submissions, if there are no major issues impacting your readiness.

Extension of Contractual Terms

We will exercise required flexibility and extend the typical 1-year contract by an additional 3 months for now.  IASG will review this further if required, depending on how the Covid-19 situation pans out over the coming months.

I believe these addresses some of the immediate concerns you may have. We would like to assure you that Immigration@SG’s promise to all our clients will be to continue to strive to remain available, and see their PR and Citizenship applications through.

Stay updated with official government announcements and guidelines regarding immigration applications. Regularly check our website and social media platforms for the latest information.
  2. Follow Health and Safety Measures: Comply with all health and safety measures implemented by the Singapore government to curb the spread of COVID-19. This includes wearing masks, practicing good hygiene, maintaining physical distancing, and adhering to any travel restrictions or quarantine measures that may be in place.
  3. Utilize Online Services: Due to the pandemic, there may be limitations or adjustments to in-person services. Take advantage of online services provided wherever possible. This includes submitting applications, uploading documents, and accessing relevant forms and resources electronically. For now, the IASG team is working from home and can be reachable via video call, phone call, text, and email.
  4. They can provide guidance tailored to your specific situation and keep you informed about any changes in policies or requirements.
  5. Prepare Documentation Carefully: Ensure that you prepare and submit all required documentation accurately and completely. Double-check the application forms and supporting documents to avoid delays or complications in the processing of your application. Trust the process and allow the relevant authorities sufficient time to review your application thoroughly.
  7. Maintain Open Communication: If you have any changes in personal circumstances, such as a change of address or contact information, inform Immigration@SG or the ICA promptly.
