One of IASG’s clients, the Zhang family of Q&Z International Pte Ltd, has recently donated $50,000 to the Red Cross as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
CSR Effort by the Zhang Family to Singapore Red Cross Society
Originally from China, Dr Zhang Guoshun, Karen Qu and Dr Zhang Yuxin are shareholders and directors of Q&Z International Pte Ltd which was established in 2013 in Singapore. They established their business in Malaysia as early as 1996 and have lived there for almost 30 years. Q&Z International Pte Ltd specialises on derma skincare products and advocates initiatives on sustainability and environmental improvements mainly through their product development process. Under the direction of Dr Zhang Yuxin, the eldest son of Dr Zhang Guoshun and Karen Qu, the company has been developing skincare products since 2017 and has successfully created ArctaPHOS, a skincare brand listed in Watsons Malaysia.
The Zhang family has established themselves as long-term philanthropists. They have been donating to the needy since before and especially during the Covid-19 pandemic period and have supported many different causes. In Malaysia alone, they have been giving back to the community for more than 20 years. Since the establishment of the Singapore office, the Zhang family pledges to carry on giving back to the society, hence engaging with the Singapore Red Cross Society to help children that require assistance. They have noted that this is just the first step of the family’s efforts in reaching out to the society here in Singapore and they would like to continue this good cause for the long term.
The CSR Event
On 25 February 2023, the Zhang family officially presented the cheque to the Singapore Red Cross Society’s Assistant Secretary General, where they also got to meet and mingle with the beneficiaries. Seeing the happy faces and lively energy of the children is what motivates the family to keep giving more.
